While attending Oakland University, she portrayed the bold and daring Jo March in Little Women; the smart and secretive Viola in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night; the terrifying Mother Victoria in Eclipsed; the jaded high-seas buccaneer Annie Bailey in Bloody Bess, Cordelia in Falsettos and many more exciting roles. During her time at Oakland University, Erin received the Gittlen Award for achievement in Musical Theatre from Oakland University’s Department of Music, Theatre and Dance in 2010. Erin is also certified as an instructor in stage combat. She enjoys training students in stage combat whenever the opportunity arises.
Erin has acted with theatres across the country spanning from regional theatre in Amish country Pennsylvania to a touring children’s production throughout the Midwest. In the summer of 2011, Erin toured the Midwest as the Evil Queen in Prairie Fire Children’s Theater Company’s production of Snow White. In the fall of 2011, Erin was chosen to play the part of the sultry bar patron Suzanne in Epicenter Theatre Group’s production of the Steve Martin comedy Picasso at the Lapin Agile. 2012 brought on more projects for Erin. She was cast as the tough as nails Janice in Epicenter Theatre Group’s production of John Patrick Shanley’s ITALIAN AMERICAN RECONCILIATION, as well as an original musical-in-progress Anima/Animas. In the summer of 2012, Erin packed her bags and headed out to Lancaster, Pennsylvania to portray Rosie in The Confession Musical. She also had the opportunity to direct a production of Honk! Jr. in the Troy School District. Erin left Epicenter Theatre Group in 2013 to pursue her theatre career in New York City. She looks forward to reuniting with Epicenter Theatre Group on future projects in the years to come.
