Michael is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a BA in Theatre Performance. During his time at WMU, he was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to direct and act in a wide range of productions. His credits at WMU include Orpheus in Eurydice, Takeshi Kawabata in Take Me Out and was in his first feature-length movie, The Day Job, with the Western Filmmakers Association. Moreover, he directed productions of A Body of Water by Lee Blessing and SubUrbia by Eric Bogosian.
Lauren Knox is a recent Oakland University alumna, graduating from the Honors College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting and an English Minor. Her hard work ethic, spirit and talent have contributed to many projects at Oakland from acting to directing to stage combat and playwriting.
Bill Premin has performed and directed in the metro Detroit area for many years. As a seasoned actor/director he has directed Carousel, Mame, Barefoot in the Park and Steel Magnolias for the Windsor Light Opera Association. He was featured as Billis in South Pacific, Jeff in Brigadoon, Pellinore in Camelot, Cap’t Andy in Showboat, Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof and Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman as well as many other roles.
Elizabeth DeWulf "Betty" retired after 35 years of teaching Theatre Arts and Speech at Utica Community Schools. At Eisenhower High School she was the director, producer and technical director for more than 55 main stage plays and musicals.
Erin Edgerton is an alumnus of Oakland University’s Department of Music, Theatre and Dance with a B.F.A. degree in Musical Theatre.
David Shammas is a native Detroit boy with extended roots in Chicago. Originally growing up in Birmingham, Michigan, he has made a career as a culinary chef which took to him to the windy city. He currently works as a private chef and freelance artist. It was only in recent years, that he has tapped into his primal instinctive passion in order to put paint on the canvas.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Dennis Verner has lived there all of his life except for a stint in the Chicago area, at about the age of four, while his father was serving in the military. Dennis attended Detroit public schools, and after completing grade school, he was recommended to attend Cass Technical High School by one of his art teachers. Being a little stubborn, as he tends to be, he studied electronics at Cass Tech, instead of pursuing art and electrical engineering at Wayne State University. He started a small business after that. He often wonders how things would have turned out had he listened to his teacher.
Kelly Margaret Kubeck earned her Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, teaching certificate and Master’s degree in Special Education from Eastern Michigan University and has earned several endorsements in the areas of emotional impairments, learning disabilities and speech and theatre. Kelly taught grades 7-12 Special Education for 5 years and currently works at Beaumont Hospital as an EMT.
Kara is another of Marco’s classmates from Oakland University’s prestigious Theatre Department. After earning her BA in Theatre Performance (with a minor in Spanish Language), she spent several years acting in film, rather than onstage. Kara has been in over a dozen Michigan-made independent films, as well as appearing in two Hollywood movies that were filmed in Michigan—Real Steel and Ides of March. In Ides of March, Kara had the privilege of working in close quarters with George Clooney and Ryan Gosling while playing a member of Morris’ (Clooney’s) campaign staff, and can be seen in several scenes throughout the movie.
Judith Premin is an accomplished choral conductor, music educator, vocalist and actor. A graduate of the University of Michigan School of Music with degrees in vocal performance and music education. Judith studied voice with Harold Haugh and conducting with Maynard Klein and Roger Wagner.
Miss Traci Jo Rizzo has been involved in the production of many different kinds of performances, for a wide range of audiences, and for multiple causes. She specializes in prop and set construction, but her production talents stretch so far as make-up art, special effects, marketing, fundraising and video/film.
In 1995 Marius Iliescu graduated with a BFA in acting from Hyperion University, a private conservatory in Bucharest, Romania. It was his only way to express himself in an intolerable, mute, and frozen in fear society where the spirit was not allowed to be free. There he discovered Stanislavksi’s psychological acting and methods of physical actions.
